We want to continue with Children’s Liturgy of the Word at the 10:00 Mass each Sunday. It begins after the Opening Prayer, children from ages 3-6 will be escorted from the Church to the Narthex addition for a Liturgy of the Word designed for young children. There will be child-friendly Scripture readings, an interactive reflection on the day’s readings, and a brief activity; usually coloring. The children will be escorted back to the Church during the Offertory. To do this, we need volunteers to help the young ones. This is a great opportunity for middle school and high school aged students to get service hours. If you just think you might be interested in helping out, please contact Deacon Jim at [email protected] for more details.
In anticipation of the National Eucharistic Revival in Indianapolis this summer, there are four processions making their way through the country with Indianapolis as their end point. Leaving from New Haven, Connecticut, the eastern arm of the Pilgrimage will begin near the Atlantic coast, journey through our nation’s oldest diocese, and cross the Appalachian Mountains. This route is named for St. Elizabeth Ann Seton. The Seton Route will make a stop at St. Christopher Church in Philadelphia, The pilgrims and many other faithful will be here on Friday, May 31st for the 8:30AM Mass. Bishop Christopher Cooke, one of three new auxiliary bishops for our Archdiocese, will celebrate the Mass. Please plan on joining us!
