With the support of the pastoral council and the finance council, we are looking at following through with the plans made ten years ago for improvements in the Church and with the construction of a community center/ gymnasium. We have conducted a feasibility study for these building projects. The cost for both will be about three million dollars. We are just in the preliminary phase, and more information will be shared as we have it. This will be an exciting time for the revitalization of our parish and our school. Stay tuned for more details.
St. Christopher School will open Wednesday, September 9th. All students will be in session five full days a week. Care is being given to make sure that sufficient distance is between all of the students. In classrooms where it would be difficult to have the desks sufficiently distanced from each other, we will be installing shields.. Students will need to wear face coverings when they enter and exit the school building and when they are in the hallways or in the common area of the schools. They will also wear face coverings when they are in their classrooms. Teachers will be wearing face shields, Finally, we will do our very best to make sure that classrooms, hallways, bathrooms, and railings will be kept very clean.
